Ballistic Protection Levels

Q: What do the levels of protection indicate?

A: We prefer the B-level standard. It seems to be the easiest to understand. Basically with the B-system, the number indicates roughly the millimeters of thickness of the ballistic steel. For example, a B4 level indicates 4mm of door protection. A B6 level indicates 6mm of ballistic steel protection (6.35mm actually). With the Armormax solution however we use the latest in high tech fibre based material, negating the need to use heavy ballistic steel.
